Paul R. Copeland, III
Paul R. Copeland, III has been practicing law in Brunswick, Maine, since 1976. He is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and Albany Law School, having also attended graduate studies at Columbia University in mathematics and economics. He started practicing in Maine in 1976 when he became associated with Orville Ranger, Esq. During his practice in Brunswick, Maine, he has formed strong ties in the community and has raised his family there.
Mr. Copeland has developed a full-range legal practice with concentrations on family law, corporations, wills and estates, and entertainment law. He has substantial expertise in business law, and has represented Atlantic Regional Federal Credit Union and Downeast Energy Corp. for better than two decades. He brings to his practice a great deal of care and concern for each client, and has been able to help many clients who have been in dire financial straits. In addition, his well-trained staff, who have been with him in some cases for better than 25 years, is eager and willing to make the legal process comfortable for his clients.
Mr. Copeland is the secretary and a member of the Board of Directors for Maine Huts & Trails, and has been involved with the development of the hut and trail system since its inception.
Kristina M. Kurlanski
Kristina Kurlanski is an associate with experience in criminal and family law with a passion for intellectual property law.
Kristina grew up in Maine where she attended Falmouth Public Schools, and graduated from Portland High School. She then attended McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where she majored in philosophy and political science. Upon graduation, she prepared for her lifelong aspiration to be an attorney, and returned to Maine to work as an assistant clerk at the Cumberland County Superior Court.
Kristina attended the University of Maine School of Law where she was a participant of the intellectual property clinic. She also excelled on the moot court team, and represented the law school at the intellectual property BMI Moot Court Competition at Cardozo School of Law in New York City.
After graduation, Kristina was awarded a clerkship under the Honorable John H. Pursel, P.J.Cr. and Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, J.S.C. in the Somerset County, New Jersey, Superior Court. She then worked as a prosecutor for the Somerset County Prosecutorís office, before she returned to her home in Maine and joined Ranger & Copeland, P.A.
Kristina is licensed to practice in the states of New Jersey and Maine.
